- What is a vinyl decal and where can I use it?
A vinyl decal is a sticker with a transparent background. It comprises of the decal, backing paper, and transfer paper. The backing paper is removed to apply, then applied, and then transfer paper is removed, leaving the decal. PSA uses outdoor high quality vinyl that is for use on car windows, glass, or other smooth surfaces like the cover/lid of a laptop. This vinyl, in most cases, will not adhere to painted surfaces like a wall. If you need the decal to apply anywhere else, contact us before purchasing to discuss.
- Can a decal be removed and used again?
A decal can be removed however it will not be suitable to use again. A decal will be easier to remove on a warm day. Make sure your car window is in the sun and use a razor blade to carefully remove and peel away the decal.
- Can I apply a decal to my car paintwork?
Many people choose to apply decals directly to the body of the car - however - residue or a mark may be left when you remove the decal, depending on how long it has been on the car. Applying a decal to car paintwork is done at your own risk and PSA will not be responsible for any effects to your car. The vinyl used by PSA is designed for car windows.
- Can I add a name or change something in the sticker design?
In most cases, the answer is yes! PSA is happy to add a name or custom text to pet decals. The extra text is cut separately so it can be placed beside, above or under the decal chosen. It is cut to suit the size of the decal, so if you need a lengthy amount of text, choose a larger decal!
If you wish to change something in the body of the design, please contact us before purchasing. PSA will help wherever possible.
- Can I change the colour of my decal?
In most cases yes, however, please check the actual listing. Our artist draws most pet designs to suit a light or dark background. For example, a white sticker, is design for car windows which are usually darker / tinted. A black sticker is designed for a light coloured background like a laptop lid.
If the dog/cat/horse/etc design is available in WHITE ONLY, the colour cannot be any colour other than WHITE or the design will appear in 'negative' format.
If the design is available in BLACK, you can choose any colour other than WHITE. Again, in white, which is reverse, it will appear as a negative.
If the design is available and shown in BLACK and WHITE, you can choose ANY colour in our Colour Chart.
General designs like silhouettes, Because People Suck, or Just Like A Normal Dog Owner, can be any colour. If you are unsure, hit the contact us button.
- Can I have a design made of my pet?
Yes! PSA is happy to get our artist to make artwork of your pet instead of using one of our designs. As our artist lives internationally, the fee may vary slightly with the exchange rate. Please contact us with your query and we can advise the price. Before messaging, consider if the design is one pet only, or more than one pet, and the colour of the design. Artwork is drawn to suit a light or dark background, so if it's for your car window, white is always the most visible.
- Do you ship internationally or only in Australia?
Yes! PSA is happy to ship internationally. PSA currently ships to New Zealand, USA, UK and a few other countries. This may vary from time to time with shipping restrictions so please contact us if you find that you are unable to order with our current shipping locations.
- Do I pay tax on my order? Or will I need to pay import taxes?
In Australia, PSA is currently not registered for GST so no tax is added to your purchase price.
If you live outside Australia, you are exempt from Australian GST, however, import duties / taxes may be payable on receipt of your item. For example, if you live in the UK, the postal service will hold your package and contact you for payment of the import tax before your item can be delivered. This is YOUR responsibility to pay. If you choose not to pay the tax and your item is returned, PSA WILL NOT refund your purchase price or any shipping costs.
